After visiting 30+ countries, we’ve booked a lot of travel tours across Europe and Asia. These are the best tours we genuinely recommend, including Vietnam day trips, overnight cruises, food tours, wildlife experiences and city tours we would happily book again.
Unfortunately, we didn’t do any vlogging when we travelled around Europe, so you’ll just have to trust us on those ones. For many of our Asia tours though, we’ve linked our videos so you can see exactly what the experience was like before booking.

Bosnia & Herzegovina
Mostar Day Tour From Sarajevo
Where can we even start with this tour? A mixture of history, architecture and a waterfall for a nice swim, this was a really incredible way to get to know what the city is like and what has shaped it.
It's a great tour for anyone who isn't spending too much time in Bosnia & Herzegovina and wants to learn and see as much as possible in one day.
No long walks involved, so this is a great tour for people of all ages.
Montenegro
Kotor and Tivat Boat Trip in Montenegro
Something we booked as a spur of the moment decision, but we're so glad that we did. Not a party boat, just a nice relaxing day seeing different parts of the coastline and swimming around in the beautiful water.
Our hostel was also offering this tour, but we found it cheaper to book through GetYourGuide.
Malta
Blue Lagoon Malta Boat Tour
The best part of this tour is that it wasn't much of a tour for us. The boat takes you to Crystal Lagoon and Blue Lagoon, and at the first stop you can get off the boat and swim, chill on the land or go for a walk up to Comino Tower.
I would definitely recommend the walk up to the tower. We did this tour in February, so the water was fine for a quick dip but that was it. I can imagine the weather is very hot at other times in the year.

Asia Tours
Kazakhstan
2-Day Kolsai Lakes, Kaindy Lake & Charyn Canyon Tour
A trip to see the lakes and canyons outside Almaty is a MUST when staying in the city. We did this two-day tour with Join Me Asia and it made seeing so many incredible places in such a short amount of time so much easier.
Over the two days, we visited Kaindy Lake, Kolsai Lakes, Saty village, Black Canyon, Moon Canyon and Charyn Canyon. There is a fair amount of driving involved, especially getting to and from Almaty, but because everything was organised for us, it never felt stressful.
The tour is definitely packed, but we would have hated to leave Kazakhstan without seeing these places. Being able to fit all of them into two days worked perfectly with our Central Asia itinerary.

Kyrgyzstan
2-Day Kol-Ukok Horse Trek & Yurt Stay
Riding horses through the Kyrgyz mountains and spending the night in a traditional yurt at Kol-Ukok is easily one of the most amazing things we have ever done while travelling.
We spent around 10 hours on horseback over two days despite having almost no horse-riding experience beforehand. We were definitely sore afterwards, but at no point did we feel unsafe or out of our depth.
The first day takes you through the mountains to Kol-Ukok, where you stay overnight in a yurt beside the lake. We also did the optional hike to Kol-Tor Lake, which was tough at the altitude but absolutely worth it.
The food made for us by the nomadic families was delicious, our guide was fantastic and the whole experience felt completely different from anything else we did during our Central Asia trip.
You do not need previous horse-riding experience. You just need to be prepared for a sore bum, cold evenings and one of the best experiences of your trip.
Borneo
3D2N Kinabatangan River Cruise in Borneo
The best activity we've ever done. Three days and two nights on the Kinabatangan River being immersed in the wildlife, while still being kept very comfortable with nice rooms and huge, delicious meals.

The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely cared about sustainability and animal welfare, which we really appreciated.

Ho Chi Minh City Motorbike Food Tour
The first time was so nice, we had to do it twice. If you like Vietnamese food, do this tour 100%.

You get a bike and guide for every person, and they take you around to genuine local spots that you wouldn't find otherwise, not places just set up for tours and tourists.
The best part is, if you don't like some food, just tell them and they can adjust the tour. We did it with no seafood dishes and they made that adjustment super easily.
